Undergraduate Students

Once you have made the decision to study theology at the Pontifical University at undergraduate level, in other words, if you have chosen to study either MU001 (Theology and Arts) or MU002 (Theology), you must apply through the CAO. The CAO is the Central Applications Office in Galway.

BPhil - Applications to our BPhil degree programme are by direct entry to the university. To commence your application, please click on the link below and complete the form.

Application literature is available from second-level schools or from CAO, Tower House, Eglinton Street, Galway.

Postgraduate Students

To apply for one of our postgraduate programmes please complete the relevant postgraduate application form, and return to: The Admissions Office, St Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth.

In relation to the submission of documentation, please read the notes on last page of the application form. The application forms are for both EU and Non-EU/International applicants. There is no application fee. Please contact the Admissions Officer with any further queries.

Transfer Applications

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have completed one or more years of a postgraduate theology programme and wish to transfer into one of our postgraduate programmes.

Please complete our Postgraduate Transfer Application Form and return to the Admissions Office, along with certified transcripts of qualifications to date.
