Module Aims

This is a module on logical reasoning and critical thinking and it aims to introduce students to the nature of logic, the logic of terms and propositions, and the nature of deduction in both traditional and mathematical logic. The overall objective of the module is that to instil a logical way of thinking in the student.

• — LO3 Perform inferences using the square of opposition.
• — LO4 Evaluate deductive syllogisms.
• — LO5 Show the validity of sequents in propositional and predicate calculus.
