Seminar presentation 10%, oral exam 30%, final exam 60%

Module Aims

This module aims to show how certain practical issues in ethics can be addressed by means of some standard ethical theories. As such it begins with a consideration of the major ethical theories and then proceeds week by week to consider how they would go to address practical ethical situations such as abortion, euthanasia, human relations, justice.
