Module Aims

This is a focussed module on the nature of mind and world. Our primary consideration will not be in terms of the being of mind and world, but on how mind and world are connected. Thus, our concern will be to observe in the history of philosophical thought how philosophers have either separated mind and world thereby creating a problem for knowledge, or brought mind and world into conformity with each other. Thinkers included are Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Descartes, Hume, Kant.

Semester 1
