Salvador Ryan, professor of ecclesiastical history, has recently edited a collection of twenty essays on domestic devotion in medieval and early modern Europe. The essays span the period from the thirteenth to the early eighteenth centuries, and cover a broad geographical range, including Ireland, England, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Turkey, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands,and Russia.

The collection examines the phenomenon of domestic devotion across Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
