From November 4-7, Dr. Joshua Furnal visited the Faculties of Theology & Philosophy at the Institut Catholique Toulouse (ICT) as part of the Staff Mobility for Teaching (STA) Erasmus+ programme.
Dr. Furnal gave a guest lecture for postgraduates on Kierkegaard’s theological anthropology and his view of anxiety and faith in particular. He also presented insights from a forthcoming publication about Cornelio Fabro’s Thomistic approach to Existential thought during sessions of a postgraduate study day, which was organized by Prof. Andrea Bellantone and his doctoral students. Dr. Furnal also met with current SPPU students in Toulouse on Erasmus and met potential new exchange students.
During a meeting with the Dean and members from the Faculty of Theology, discussions focused on the ongoing collaboration between the two universities, particularly through its ongoing Erasmus+ exchange programs and the Cotutelle international doctoral projects. For example, ICT is one of the strategic partners for the upcoming international symposium on Eschatology at Maynooth in May: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/ap...
