Tobias Winright, Professor of Moral Theology, presented a paper on "Firearms and Vulnerability: From Moribundity to Flourishing" at the annual convention of the College Theology Society, which met 30 May to 2 June, 2024 in Denver, Colorado. The Theme of the convention was "Vulnerability and Flourishing." Winright also came in 1st place in the annual CTS 5K run.

Professor Winright is a past Vice President of the CTS, which is a professional association of college and university professors. Founded in 1954 as a Roman Catholic organization of lay and religious teachers of undergraduate theology, the CTS today has a membership of over 500 college and university professors throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
