Staff and students of SPPU were delighted to partake in a summer school at the Catholic University of Lille, France from 1st - 5th July. The FUCE programme ‘European Humanism in the Making’ helps to co-create European humanism through imagination, deepening, connecting. It deals with complex issues in real life, ambiguity and diversity. It contributes to a broad education with a clear link to society and contemporary reality.
Representing SPPU were Dr Michael Shortall and Sean Moriarty Lindhorst, second year student on the Bachelor of Arts and Theology. 30 students from across Europe joined together to consider the future of Europe in light of the challenges of Artificial Intelligence.
