On Sunday 2 February 2025, Fr. Bartlomiej ‘Bartek’ Kleczynski was ordained to the priesthood in the cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity in Kingston Jamaica. The newly ordained Fr “Bartek” was born in Poland and is the first priest to be ordained from the Refdemptrois Mater Seminary of Kingston, Jamaica. Fr. Bartek completed all of his priesthood studies in St Patrick's Pontifical University in Maynooth, where he graduated with a HDip in Philosophy in 2015 and BD in Theology in 2018.

Fr. Neil Xavier O’Donoghue from the Faculty of SPPU traveled to Jamaica where he participated in the Ordination rite and vested the newly ordained priest during the ceremony.
