On behalf of the St Patrick’s College, Maynooth community, Rev Dr Michael Shortall, Interim President and Rev Dr Tomás Surlis, Rector, express their sympathies to family, friends and the Capuchin community on the death of Brother Kevin Crowley.

Br Kevin is known for his selfless work with the poor and in particular with the Capuchin Day Centre in Dublin. From humble beginnings serving 50 people a day to now providing shelter, solace, and a warm meal to over 800 people daily, the centre is a remarkable example of non-judgemental kindness to fellow human beings, regardless of background or status. Br Kevin will be fondly remembered by members of the St Patrick’s community who had the good fortune to serve at the Day Centre. He leaves a rich legacy of living out his Christian faith through actions, something recognised by the late Pope Francis who paid him a visit in 2018.
