On Saturday, Tarsus Scripture School—part of the Centre for Mission and Ministries in SPPU—hosted the very first Dromantine Scripture Day. This annual day-long event seeks to help people in parishes across Ireland deepen their knowledge and understanding of Scripture. Prof. Núria Calduch-Benages, a lecturer at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome) and the former secretary of the Pontifical Biblical Commission, was invited as guest speaker and offered two insightful presentations on the role of the Bible the 21st century. These presentations were accompanied by a series of parallel workshops held by members of the Tarsus Scripture School team which includes Dr. Jessie Rogers, Director of the Centre for Mission and Ministries, SPPU, and SPPU students Christopher Donnelly (Doctorate in Sacred Scripture) and Mary Kirk (Master's in Bible and Spirituality).
