Colleagues recently gathered on campus to say a fond farewell to Bill Tinley. Bill dedicated 31 years of professional life to Maynooth and led the Campus and Accommodation business unit to the successful entity it now is. Despite operating in a very competitive market, Bill managed to position the Maynooth campus as a venue to suit many different needs, from students looking for short term rooms to conference attendees, tourists and visitors to Kildare, summer schools, retreats and sporting groups. It is testimony to his skill and dedication that the campus managed to maximise opportunities across so many different segments. We wish Bill the best of luck in his next chapter and now that he will have even more time to dedicate to watching his beloved Leeds United, they might just survive in the English Premiership for another year.
