Salvador Ryan, Professor of Ecclesiastical History at SPPU was recently invited by the Museum of Childhood to write a blog post based on the introduction to his book titled ‘Childhood and the Irish’ in which he documents what it was like to be a child-editor of a local "newspaper", growing up in Moneygall. Some of the pieces are hilarious, even if intended to be very serious at the time by the then 8 year old editor in chief, Salvador.

We’ve no doubt this piece will evoke strong childhood memories for all who grew up in Ireland in the 1980s and 1990s……..enjoy!
