Following on from receiving the first place award in Theology at the Association of Catholic Publishers (ACP) 2024 Excellence in Publishing Awards earlier in the summer, Declan Marmion and Salvador Ryan, from the Faculty of Theology at St Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth, have now also secured first place in the Future of the Church category at the Catholic Media Association 2024 awards.
'Reforming the Church: Global Perspectives', by Liturgical Press, brought together a collection of 11 scholarly articles on church reform in the key of synodality, which are an important contribution from Maynooth and Ireland to the global project of renewal and reform within the Catholic Church.
Salvador Ryan remarked that "Declan and I are delighted with the news that our volume has won another significant publishing award. It is certainly heartening that the book's important themes continue to resonate with readers. We have been hugely fortunate in managing to gather together contributors who care deeply about the work of synodality and church reform, and who offer profound and honest reflections on the challenges and opportunities facing the Christian Church internationally as it looks with hope and expectation to the future".
