As part of Helen Meany's ClassicsNow festival on 3rd February, an adaptation of the Melian Dialogue from Thucydides's History of the Peloponnesian War, by Colin Murphy, was staged in the chamber of Dublin City Council, followed by a panel discussion, chaired by Irish Independent columnist Sarah Carey, on the ethics of war, which included Tobias Winright, Professor of Moral Theology, SPPU, along with former chief of defence Mark Mellett, and Dr Kerry Louise Phelan of Maynooth University.
